The Barn

For those looking for a barn wedding venue or reception, look no further. The Barn at Tahoma Plantation carries a rich history as an original structure on the property. It served as a working horse barn until July 2022 when its transformative remodel began. Hence, Mark’s vision for the barn began the second he acquired the property, but truly came to life in 2018 through his community service in the wake of Hurricane Michael. During this time, Mark spent his days helping others by clearing destroyed pines. Straightaway, he found beauty and meaning in the destruction by transforming the snapped pines into the walls and flooring of The Tahoma Barn. The building now proudly serves as the primary gathering spot for a barn wedding, celebrations, and events. 

The main section of the barn, adorned with large windows at the south end, welcomes an abundance of natural light, creating an undeniably bright and inviting atmosphere. Eight elegant iron chandeliers grace the lofty center section, and the open layout, with minimal decorations, allows you the freedom to infuse your own unique style into the space for an unforgettable barn wedding.

Additionally, there is a special feature of the barn, one of Mark’s personal touches, is the Man Cave. The area is complete with two televisions, a pool table, shuffleboard, and a custom-built bar. The Man Cave serves as the ultimate hangout for the groom and groomsmen on the wedding day or night before, offering a space to relax and create lasting memories.

Finally, the practical amenities in the barn also includes two restrooms and a caterer’s kitchen equipped with stainless steel prep tables and a 900 lb. ice maker, ensuring that all your needs for your special day or event are met. Two French doors open onto the covered porch, leading to our charming courtyard, adorned with trellises, a covered pergola, and romantic string lighting. Lastly, the courtyard is thoughtfully landscaped, providing a picturesque backdrop for your event. The pergola offers an ideal location for a DJ or band setup, making the barn a versatile and welcoming space for your unique celebration at our barn wedding venue here at Tahoma Plantation.
