What couples are saying
Posted on Kendra WalkerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From the moment Tahoma opened, I knew that I wanted my son’s rehearsal dinner there. I booked it 18 months in advance and before they had the opportunity to host very many events. Why? Because I already knew Annette and Mark and was confident that our special night would be exactly what I had envisioned. It wasn’t at all what I envisioned…it was SO MUCH MORE. These two are rock stars at the “venue” business. They will literally help in any way possible. They check on you throughout the process and offer suggestions on what has worked and what hasn’t at their past events. My son had 12 groomsmen and many were from out of town. The cabins were perfect for them to stay. They loved the “man cave” and were disappointed they didn’t have time to take advantage of the skeet shooting range. I’ve promised them a repeat visit in the future. Don’t waste a minute booking Tahoma. If you do…you will miss your opportunity and I promise….you WILL regret it. I can’t thank Mark and Annette enough for all their help and guidance. We had a blast and I hope I have the chance to attend many events in the future. As soon as I get my professional photos back, I’ll post them. (Warning…photos cannot capture the beauty of this place.) Until then, I’ll post one of my handsome son and his beautiful bride with their rehearsal dinner cake.Posted on Mendy RolandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had my daughter’s wedding here in April 2025 and it was absolutely beautiful! The owners were attentive to our needs and very welcoming. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful place with several options for ceremony and photos. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!Posted on Michaela BellTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The venue is stunning (literally so many options on one property) and the owners are amazing to work with; they’re always happy to help without overwhelming you! We are so thankful we found them ❤️ Big or small, Tahoma can host them all!!Posted on Mandy OcchipintiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We chose Tahoma for my brother's wedding. Mrs. Annette was a rockstar and her daughter, Beth. Mrs. Annette was the reason we chose the venue, along with the stunning details of the property. If I weren't already married, I would have chosen this venue! You can't go wrong with it and you have various spots where you can choose to have your ceremony!Posted on Christy HallTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My daughter had her wedding dreams come true this past weekend at this beautiful venue! There is no detail they have not thought of even recently adding three camper sites to accommodate additional guest if you have overflow staying at their beautiful houses. If you need it to decorate with, they’ve got it. I cannot recommend this venue more! I wish they had 10 stars! From the simple wedding to the most extravagant, they can make it happen! We love Mark and Annette!Posted on Jana LeinerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Spent the weekend at Tahoma Plantation and it was absolutely fabulous. Weddings That Inspire

Why Couples Choose Tahoma
Couples choose Tahoma Plantation because it offers something rare. It’s a wedding venue that feels both elevated and grounded, elegant and relaxed. While many venues force you to choose between beauty and practicality, Tahoma delivers both with ease. Every detail of the property was designed with weddings in mind, from the flow of events to the experience of your guests.
At the heart of Tahoma’s appeal is its atmosphere: secluded and serene, yet easily accessible from Albany, Bainbridge, Thomasville, Dothan, and Columbus. This balance makes it a standout destination for couples across Southwest Georgia, North Florida, and Southeast Alabama looking for a venue that feels like an escape, without requiring travel headaches.
The setting itself is a major draw. The ceremony options include a lakeside timber-frame arbor for breathtaking outdoor vows and a historic, restored chapel for couples who prefer a classic Southern aesthetic. The reception hall is equally versatile, offering a warm, wood-lined interior with exposed beams, soft lighting, and the ability to be styled rustic, elegant, or modern. Outside, open lawns and tree-lined backdrops offer room for cocktail hours, lawn games, and golden-hour photos that feel pulled from a magazine.
But beauty alone isn’t why couples book Tahoma. It’s the flexibility and control they’re given throughout the process. Tahoma isn’t a one-size-fits-all wedding factory. You won’t be told which caterers you have to use, how long you’re allowed on site, or where your guests can and can’t go. Instead, couples are empowered to make the venue their own, with multiple layout options, generous access windows, personalized packages, and a vendor-friendly environment that supports creativity and personalization.
Guest experience also plays a major role. Onsite accommodations allow family and friends to stay close to the celebration, eliminating logistics and creating a true weekend retreat. Couples often remark how much more relaxed and connected their wedding feels simply because no one is rushing in from hotels or driving long rural roads at night.
Finally, the Tahoma team is hands-on, responsive, and committed to helping each couple pull off their vision without stress or micromanagement. Whether you’re planning everything yourself or working with a coordinator, the staff ensures that the venue works in harmony with your plans, not against them.
When you combine scenic beauty, planning freedom, and an inviting atmosphere, you get more than a venue. You get the foundation for a celebration that’s meaningful, memorable, and unmistakably yours. That’s why couples choose Tahoma Plantation.
